Dr. Reid Robertson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Brigham Young University. He attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was awarded the Zelda Schiffman Neuro Ophthalmology Award for excellence in clinical assessment and patient care at the MS Eye Clinic in Houston, TX. Dr. Robertson received Young Optometrist of the Year from the Texas Optometric Association in 2020. This award recognizes one Optometrist in all of Texas that demonstrates remarkable leadership when serving the profession, patients and the community. He has worked with leaders in glaucoma research at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has received additional training working with the Cherokee Nation through Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Dr. Robertson also stays busy as Chairman of the Board of Texas State Optical. He is an executive elected by the TSO board of directors and is responsible for presiding over board & committee meetings. Bringing new ideas and problems solving on a day to day basis for not only his patients but eye care as a whole is his passion.

At TSO Allen, we invest heavily in new technology and training. Dr. Robertson has advanced training in fitting scleral lenses for patients with irregular astigmatism, corneal disease, post-surgical complications, contact lens intolerance and many more conditions. His experience and sophisticated process for scleral lenses provide significantly more comfort and improved vision than standard soft or rigid-gas permeable lenses for these patients. Scleral lenses require precise customization, and every patient’s case varies in degrees of severity and corneal measurements.

Dr. Reid Robertson is also involved in his community and is a member of the Allen Chamber of Commerce and the Allen Lions Club. He has volunteered his time and expertise at assisted living communities around Dallas to educate Dallas residents about their eye health and changes they can expect in the aging eye. He has participated in many vision screenings and eye exams on Mobile Eye Clinic Bus for at-risk and underprivileged community.

Dr. Reid Robertson strives to give each and every patient a memorable experience by focusing on individual needs and concerns. He is experienced in pre & post-operative LASIK and cataract surgery management. He maintains an open and friendly atmosphere in his clinic and seeks to properly educate every patient. He specializes in ocular pathology including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, allergies, eye injury and eye infections or pink eye.
